Recent events, like the earthquake in Japan, seem to be putting an increased spotlight on the electronic component supply chain, highlighting the ongoing issues the industry faces. People are becoming aware of how this industry has penetrated virtually every aspect of their day-to-day lives. It’s more than the super high-tech equipment being deployed by our military to keep us safe, or cutting-edge medical devices that are saving lives daily. It’s also the 747 that is whisking them across the planet, the car that got them to the airport, the phone in their pocket and the computer in their briefcase on which they are managing their personal and business life, etc. etc.
CNN recently ran a poignant piece on the growing problem of supply chain security as affects the US Government and military. The piece goes on to highlight the responsibility that suppliers have to ensure high quality product. This concept hits very close to home with us as we are acutely aware of these issues, and make it our top priority to do everything possible to ensure quality product, as well as weed-out the substandard product we find in the global supply chain. Take a look at the testing, inspection, and counterfeit avoidance procedures we have implemented as well as the industry certifications we have adopted to enable us to eliminate risk and guarantee the highest quality product every time.
We proudly do this all as part of our ongoing responsibility to mitigate this growing threat to the customers we serve.
