The Counterfeit Components Avoidance Program (CCAP) is administered by The Component Technology Institute, Huntsville, Alabama. The purpose of this new standard is to define specific processes of sourcing, inspecting, testing and delivering CCAP certified products to customers requesting the highest level of quality inspection and test parameters. The CCAP standard allows for both commercial and military grade components to adhere to specific sampling of lots for both inspection and electrical test verifications. All CCAP purchase orders placed by customers require a 12 month warranty period for all component lots sold.
We are thrilled that Sensible Micro Corporation is just one of ten distributors in the world that has completed the CCAP certification process. Having this documented procedure in place allows our OEM & EMS partners to purchase from the second source market with full transparency and peace of mind. Although our quality procedures have always been effective for combating counterfeits, the CCAP showcases a higher level of documentation and test sampling that further illustrates our commitment to quality assurance and customer satisfaction. We are equally excited for those end users who have never utilized Sensible Micro’s sourcing services because they deem the second source market too risky or have had quality problems in the past. Those same end users now have the opportunity to expand their sourcing needs and have full confidence in receiving new and original product every time.
